Governments & Winter Preparation
Because a lot of renewables are intermittent, it is incredibly important for governments to think about Winter preparation.
An example of how to do this is to have “on-demand” non-renewable energy sources (as well as “on-demand” renewable energy sources) still working, even if it means through government subsidies. People are the most important thing.
The 2050 final energy solution will either be
something similar to the current renewables plus 100th generation battery technology, or
a mixture of the current technology plus “on-demand” renewable energy sources, like hydropower, green hydrogen and geothermal energy. Until we have enough “on-demand” renewables to make up for any shortage of sun or wind, we will be relying on “on-demand” energy sources like coal, oil and gas to make up for this.
PLEASE AVOID PRINTING MONEY to pay for this- this will cause high levels of inflation and/or hyperinflation.
While increasing debt isn’t popular, most countries in the world already have a lot of debt and not only is this normal- this is one of the only ways forward.
At the same time as this, governments need to prepare their more at-risk citizens as thoroughly as possible. Who are the more at-risk citizens and what are the 20 best ways that they can prepare? Are there any government subsidies, websites or methods to prepare them?
Insulation is an excellent starting point- although some people rent or can’t get insulation for whatever reason. If they don’t have enough insulation heat will escape their house easily.
What materials are the best clothing for cold weather?
What practices are effective at warming people up?
What kind of bedding materials do people need to get if there is a shortage of energy?
Are there any things that people do in the coldest climates to adapt? For example, if you have a heater in one room, you can close the door to save heat and place something at the gap at the bottom of the door to stop heat escaping.
In other locations, governments aren’t doing their job and citizens and citizen groups need to keep adding %s to reach at-risk people with the right information.
What are the 20 best methods people can do to prepare?
Are there any non-profits that help with money for these specific methods or other methods?
